On Monday, April 7, AGC Pharma Chemicals CEO, Kadokura Akihiro, recently participated in a working breakfast organized by the Ministry of Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia, alongside a selection of Japanese capital companies established in the region. Ana Pilar Gonzalez, Chief Operating Officer at AGC Pharma Chemicals Europe, also took part in the meeting, representing the company’s strong local presence.
The meeting took place within the framework of the Catalonia–Japan Year 2024, an initiative aimed at deepening economic ties, fostering investment opportunities, and promoting knowledge exchange between Japan and Catalonia. Japan currently ranks as the most prominent Asian investor in Catalonia and the fourth globally in terms of investment volume for projects executed in 2024.
During the session, participants explored the challenges and opportunities that Catalonia offers to Japanese investors and discussed key areas of collaboration and growth. The event highlighted the strong institutional relationship between the Catalan Government and the Government of Japan, through the Consulate General of Japan in Barcelona.
AGC Pharma Chemicals is proud to contribute to this ongoing dialogue and remains committed to building long-term partnerships that create value for both regions through innovation, investment, and sustainable growth.
